Well, I am home.
Holland was a lot of fun, but I miss Robert a lot.
I did a lot of shopping. I got a postcard of a painting with a fairy on it I got some spray-on deoderant. One is Kruidvat brand and one is some other brand but it has Pucca on it! It is adorable I got a spotted shirt and Rob bought me some new boots and I got a wicked awesome Blind Guardian T-shirt from Rob for Christmas. And it’s not like XXL or size 60 or anything, it actually fits! I got some other misc. things inbetween, but those were my favorite.
Everyone seemed to be really rude once I left the country. Everyone at the airport, everyone on the plane, and everyone on the way back until I got to customs in America. Everyone in Rotterdam seemed nice, it was just at all the parts of the trip where I did not need rude people being rude. So bummer.
His Dad later took me to Kinderdijk which had a lot of windmills. They looked cool and old and stuff Then he took me to the Euromast and we had lunch. When we got to the top, it was amazing how high we were and how much stuff I could see. The battery kept dying on the camera, but I managed to get all of the pictures I wanted.
His Dad does not speak English, but he can understand it. So we did not talk much but it was fun
Rob and I hung out whenever we could. We watched a lot of Animal Planet, played a little Bomberman, played more Free Cell, and went shopping. We basically chilled and relaxed and had fun together i miss him <33
Christmas was fun. It was a lot like last year. We had some portions of meat that we put on the grill in the middle of the table and ate, and exchanged gifts. Rob got some Mexx body spray I think was the brand, and Emily got me a dangly thingy of elephants and a fairy that sits on a globe and probably lights up.
Maarten the second day I was there took me around to see Rotterdam. I saw the Euromast and where he worked, the stadium, the hospital university, the big bridge, and a few other things I don’t really remember. We went downtown and looked at a really old place that had been there before WW2, so it was really old like out of a story book. I did not think to bring my camera so I was so sad. We had coffee and talked about things and then went home.
New Years was absolutely fun shitless. I was.. not sober, to say the least, but I think everyone else was worse off than me. We played a lot of bomberman while drinking, Maarten had already had two beers before he came over, I got horribly addicted to Free Cell while I was over there. I think we played somewhere around 300 games in two weeks. So I played a lot of that while I was drinking/smoking/whatever. We went and had coffee and Leon came over, and we all went outside and played on the ice. The rivers near the neighborhood were all frozen over, and it was the first time I had been on ice. It was scary at first, but I got comfortable, then I fell. I was really scared over hitting my head so I fell on my knees instead and it hurt like hell. I wanted to cry. I even cracked the ice and they were slightly blue the next day.
Fireworks had started even though it was only like nine or ten. They were fun to watch, but seemed a bit loud. I was a little scared since I was stonned and tipsy as to what was happening to my heart during the loud ones, and I got a little worried since my response time was slower. I don’t know if I could have a panic attack and spasms and not know about it, but we went back inside, Leon went home, and Maarten, Rob, and I played a game called geometry wars. It was so much fun!
We then went down to countdown to midnight with his dad and we ate and drank and then went outside and fireworks were like in surround sound. So that was fun We walked around a bit and his mom came over and I said goodbye to them. We then went out one last time, but it wasn’t as entertaining, so I asked to go back home and we went to bed.
The trip back to the US was much more enjoyable. My ipod died 5 minutes into the flight because I forgot to charge it, so I watched like five movies, most being cartoons. I finally saw the notebook. I liked it not as much as a movie like the Devil wears Prada, but it was definitly a girly movie. It felt like it had only been five hours when ten hours later I landed in the US. I was in the very back of the plane, so I was last in line in immigration, but luckily it went fast. All they asked was what I did there, did I have fun, all I purchased was boots, don’t really care, and they let me get my stuff. I don’t even know wtf custums was about because I grabbed my luggage, they looked at the blue slip, and said okay you can go on. Then the last place I gave them my slip and they told me to have a good day and I rode some bus to the rest of the airport.
Being at home for a day was unenjoyable at first. I asked Alicia to come over, I miss company, but I wanted to pass out soon. I got an enormous electric bill, my bad. Left my bedroom on 60 the entire time I was gone, so dang. My PC is still broken, maybe more so now. I finally formatted, and everything seems to be working fine, except I have no ethernet D: Thankfully this is Windows, so it might work tomorrow. Who knows? I gave up with it all and went out shopping and got a lot of smelly candles, lotion, food, and things for mommy. I think I feel like I am almost back into the groove except I want to sleep all day and I miss Robert a metric shitton.
I honestly cannot wait for school to start now. I don’t know how I make it through this feeling every 5 months.

Well, yeah. I am in Holland and it has been pretty fun so far.
It snowed a shitton before I left, so I took the shuttle up to the airport. It was actually a lot of fun, though a bunch of people were bitching because it was only like 60 degrees in the bus instead of 80. I didn’t care I was just happy that I was getting to the airport. I205 was backed up beacuse there was a crash, so they did something like go through Tualitin to prevent it.
Dispite that the shuttle was an hour later than scheduled, I was three hours early. So I got my plane tickets, checked my stuff in, people were generally unfriendly, and I got some pizza, but they looked like thin slices, so I got two, boy one was enough. So that was kind of a bummer. I then went through security and I was a little nervous over getting my xanax through and onto the plane, I have never had to take medicines overseas. I almost had to take some anti biotics overseas last year, but I took the last pill a tiny bit early so I didn’t have to. I just didn’t say anything and nobody said anything and it was fine.
I bought Twilight at Wal Mart, I have even heard fourty-year-olds say they like it, and I was avoiding it at all costs, but yeah, I read that for the next two hours and on the flight a lot. It was good. And I can’t stay entertained that long.
I sat next to a nice American girl going to France. Her boyfriend was French and they had been living in America for a while, but he got offered a real good job in France, so she was going to Paris to stay with him in a hotel for a little bit and see if she could get used to maybe living there. She didn’t know any French though, so I hope it works out. She was real nice to talk to the whole time though
The skies were clear and sunny, which was funny since it had snowed; Portland had no snow, and the girl was from Hillsboro, no snow there either. So she was like wow that’s nutty. It was just a long flight in general, I watched Peter Pan and what was cool was like last time you usually watched a movie and got pushed somewhere in the middle. This one you started at the begining and could pause and restart and stuff like a DVD. I fell asleep for a few hours then I woke up and was ready to get off.
We landed in Amsterdam and I had no idea where to go. A lot of people were getting on another plane, so I had no idea who to follow. So I walked around a bit and got to customs, who were incredably rude to me, then I got to the place where my luggage was supposed to come off, but I had no idea which one it was going to come on, so I went through the doors that say something like ‘keep your silence’ and the door wouldn’t open, so I followed some other people. I don’t know. And I couldn’t find Robert or Ton, so I walked around for a little bit and was a little worried but I found them and they had this look like wtf? Where did you come from? Why didn’t you come out the right door? And we had to talk to security and get back through and got my luggage and went home.
I stayed up all day and we had chicken curry for dinner. It was good. We watched the Batman movie. It was goog but honestly a bit too long. They could have cut some parts out or even made two movies, but it did keep me on the edge of my seat most of the time. After that, we have mostly been shopping, he has to work in the middle of the day, we smoked pot, it was scary, I finally got paranoia from too much THC. Apparently the CBD is what gives you the desirable effects while THC shuts off the controls to the inferior frontal cortex, which controls psychotic issues, paranoia, and schizophrenia, so that was some scary shit.
But I have also watched lots of Animal Planet so I know lots of animals in Dutch now. Kat. Katten. Katje. Pussy. Hond. Honden. Pup. All is dogs and puppy. Pony is the same. Slang is snake. Paard which is horse. Paarden would be plural. The last two I have a hard time remembering. Kip. Kip is chicken. Vis en visje is fish and little fish, which I knew last year but this year I got it mixed up with kip. I also watched that one movie with the cleric and the sense offendors in Dutch. We both found it interesting that they replaced the word cleric with the equivilant of executor. I also learned worden which is to become, woorden is actual words, so I saw a word that was woordenboek I guess it is dictionary. So yeah. I think I finally figured out how to use ben but I know you can use bent too so one is am and one is are. So yeah.
Oh yes. And I got good grades. Two B+ and an A-. But I mostly could not believe that I pulled up my CS grade from a D+ four weeks into the term up to a B+.
Blah. I’m going to go play games. Bye

Thanksgiving, Presentations, and Tamales

So Thanksgiving was okay I took the day off of work and went to one class then I went to Mom’s on Wednesday to have Thanksgiving. We could not think of what to be thankful for, so we talked about fart jokes instead. We’re so awesome.
The next day my plan was to do homework all day, and get lots of sleep before I work Black Friday. Of course, that did not happen! I woke up at noon and called my parents, they were at a friend’s house, so I ran over to their place, grabbed a Wii game they forgot, and darted off to Salem. It was basically me and Alicia playing games half the time, eating the other half, and we spent a half hour in the grocery store looking for batteries when the remotes ran out of juice.
I decided instead of getting sleep, I’ll stay up all night and work on homework. So I have borrowed the third season of House from Nikki, but my DVD player broke, so I pulled out my laptop, got it set up how I like, and watched like 3 of the 6 discs in one night. I left to go to work at 4:00 and went and got some coffee, knowing I would need it better. I had gone all night and day without a drop of coffee. I read when pulling all-nighters, it’s actually best to use lots of protein, if you start to fall asleep, get rid of your coffee and reach for some peanuts or fish. I am living proof that it worked because I have not been able to do anything like this since I was 16 no matter how strong the will was.
The rest of the weekend was pretty normal. Work and lots of projects, lots of nights with little sleep, and it finally all paid off today. I went back to work, I got assigned a new project with seven tables in the Oracle database. I get to decide on how to present the information, so that will be hard for me. The goal in this one is to make it super user friendly, rather than just making sure it works. I know when I am using my own scripts, I hate having to wait for the page to reload, so I’m going to use so much AJAX.
I stressed out and stressed, and I didn’t even finish a few spots, and I finished my painting for my color class and gave my presentation today. I was so nervous at first that I was talking to a friend and kept saying the same sentence almost backwards, so I was like oh god. I was so glad to hear though that someone else volunteered at the last minute to give a speech too, and we had similar content, so I was glad. Guess it ended up fine. I feel relieved.
I went to work at Staples and tonight was okay. I got a nice virus on my computer last night. I guess it was this. It categorizes it as virus, but my spy ware detector got it after I had given up all hope. What it seemed to do was disable something in Windows to keep malicious things from writing to important reserved memory spots or something, and that was shut off, so this thing was writing to those spots, my programs could not write, I kept getting memory errors, so I took out my oldest stick of RAM, and after that it still messed up, so that’s when I figured out something was wrong. So I told everyone about that at Staples xD They kept asking how the hell I got such a thing.
I then came home and went back to my Mom’s. I left my school stuff at her house, and she also gave me some tamales, thank goodness! I was not sure what on earth I was going to eat for dinner tonight. I was like “more ramen?” Then I came home, finished my other project that I bailed out on yesterday, and played with my kitty.
Boy a lot has happened over the past week. I usually mail my friends every day, but just never feel like logging in. Mmm. I’ll try a bit harder

Clearly There is a new layout. I was originally going to use this for a portfolio that I was going to put on the server provided to me by school, but I wanted to get rid of that old one sooooooooo bad! So I’ll come up with something else a lot cooler!
This week was great. Well, it was real stressful in the beginning, but I got through it. I had this midterm I was all freaking out over. There’s two midterms and a final, and I got a D on the first midterm. So I studied my freaking ass off over this second midterm, and took it, and half of them I had to guess on! I did educated guesses, but I still wasn’t too sure. Then I looked online, and he had posted up the results, and said he was going to grade it on a curve too. And get this. I was the max of the curve I got an A+!!! I am absolutely stoked!
So to celebrate, I have been slacking off the rest of the week. I basically go to school, go to work, come home, play games, worked on the website. And also with the curve, the first grade gets pushed up to a C-. So I now have a B even in the class, and that B is 60% of my grade. I need to do my best on the final in order to get a good grade out of the three. But at least there is a lot of hope.
I registered for classes. I would also like to mention I registered a day late this time. I had prerequisite forms for 2 of my classes, and the other 2 I know nobody is going to be too excited to take. I am going to die, without a doubt. I have people telling me I need to talk to one of the art teachers so I can drop a class. I have 3 art classes, 116, 119, and 220; 3D-design, some Web Design class, and Typography. And as if that wasn’t enough, I am also taking CS 311 because I don’t want to put this off over a minor. I have not done Java in 2 years, so I’m scared poopless. I know a guy in the class though who is in the same boat, except he has a kid too. He was in Vietnam. But we’ll probably be code-buddies the next term.
And finally, highlight of my week, I got introduced to AJAX. This is so fucking cool!! I am going to code my portfolio in AJAX, just so I can use the things I know. I made this using part AJAX and part PHP, it leaves out the DOM part though. It was more of an experiment and I know I can do sooo many things with this it’s not even funny. I have found a new passion

This week, as usual, has been extremely busy. I worked every chance I got. It was fun. I love having a job that is actually fun and get to play around with code for hours at a time. But it got a little harder this week. I got my number of tables increased from one to three. I also got all of my art projects done for now. Now I have two massive finals I have to do for that class, and by massive, I mean, I have to reconstruct a painting for each class, one of them I actually have to do two paintings and have a biography/presentation ready for my artist. Due in three weeks, on top of my normal work.
And then there’s my cat, in the whole mix of things. On Thursday morning, before I went to work, everything was normal, he was acting like his normal self, playing, demanding food, and demanding to be let out. When I left for school, he was lying in bed. I went to work most of the day, got assigned that project, grabbed lunch, went and visited Porcia, went back to work, and came back home and he was still lying in bed. He would not get up, eat, drink, or use his litter box. I was worried but I did not know what to do. So I let him just lie in bed for another day. Then on Saturday I called my parents, a bit worried now that he had not gotten up, gone to the bathroom, or anything in two days. I made him get up and tried to feed him some food, but he refused. I don’t know what was wrong because I told my parents, we all got real worried, were planning how we were going to pay for the vet bill, then at 5 in the morning last night, he decided he wanted food and he wanted it out. He wanted outside. He wanted to play. He just suddenly got better, and it was so weird.
I also had another weird thing happen. Ants. Lots of them. But they are not in my kitchen or my cabinet or even my bedroom. They are in my bathroom. And I have no idea … What? Why?? Why are they in the bathroom there is nothing in the bathroom for them to eat. So when I called my parents about the cat, I also brought that up. They came over today to bring some ant spray and such, we put some in the bathroom, outside, and the ant population has been declining rapidly. I am thrilled. It is gross and so weird. Animals make no sense to me. There’s a whole freaking kitchen full of food! Lets go in the bathroom instead!!!
I did an awesome very Tina-like thing with my debit card as well. I was hanging out with a friend at the gas station and I wanted some juice. So I rang it up and pulled out my debit card and told them if they can guess the pin, then I will purchase this. Apparently that was a bad idea. They guessed my pin like four or five times and it declined it. I tried to run the card again, and it declined it again. So I ran to my car and gathered up some dimes to pay for the juice, but I was worried my debit card would not work anymore. So I borrowed some money, went shopping, and decided to try to run it just for the hell of it. And it worked fine. So I was thankful. I would say I will probably never do that again…but I will for sure now that I know it will be okay!!
I am also getting really excited for Holland. I want to take lots of pictures this time of the old buildings, shops, and everything so that way I can remember it better. And I can’t wait to see Robert <3 I am also pleasantly thrilled with another thing I have learned. I thought the flight was eleven hours, apparently it’s like nine or something. So I’m feeling much better about that. I am going to bring lots of reading material, music, and nuts (I was told to stay awake better, stay away from coffee and eat protein. I need to stay up 25 hours in order to avoid jet lag, and I wish myself the best of luck. I have not been able to do such a thing since I was eight. I will hopefully pull through it

Graphic Design Minor Sucks.. Oh well :)

Today was a good day.
I woke up and went to the bank. I had like $120 left over from my aid, so I took out $80 to buy a parking sticker, so I don’t have to leave 30 minutes ahead of time for school anymore. I went and got some coffee and then went to my CS160 class. I was glad because normally there are these really annoying people who sit behind me, talk like they know everything, how stupid the class is, talk while the teacher is talking, and it pisses me off. They didn’t do that today. I was glad
After that I went to work, and I was still stuck on the same thing I had been for the past two days, and Michael wasn’t there, so I decided to stop starring at the screen and getting annoyed and went and talked to Broeg about my classes next term.
I was sad he said I would have to put CS off for a little bit because of my three art classes. This is why Graphic Design sucks. It’s the longest, most involved minor there could possibly be in the Art department! I can either take Data Structures II or a class called Internet that is actually in the Information Systems instead of Computer Science, but might be able to substitute one of my required upper division classes for the Information Systems focus. Due to time conflicts, I am being forced to take Data Structures II, and I am scared. Yeah. Maybe I have coded in PHP, SQL, Java, C++, C, PL/SQL, but that doesn’t mean that I feel ready to get graded on it. Plus I haven’t done the Java in 2 years! But I really have no choice. I need to take it to make my 12 credits.
After finding this out, I went back to work and Michael was there. He helped me. Turned out I was just passing the wrong variable to the list the entire time. I sat up a list to take in multiple variables, but it was only passing in the first one when I did it. He uncommented some of my code and it worked fine. It didn’t really matter anyway. I had to remake the table in the database, fill it up with values or else Oracle got pissed off at me, and rewrite the code, adding 5 more tables into the database, which is what I thought I would have to do to keep it practical and keep it from consuming tons of space and complicated picking-apart-strings functions. So I was a tad bummed about that, but I got it allll working now. I need to tidy up a bit of the code. For some reason, I decided to pass optional full character values from the form into variables that start out with character value of 0, and then send them to another form to change the values I did pass to 1, so I might as well just pass 1 in the first place D: duh! These were for if you selected multiple variables, it passes that variable, if you don’t, then it leaves it a 0. When printing it out, it then looks at the table in the database, if it has a 1, it prints out whatever that table name was, if it has a 0, prints out nothing. But I was a dork for spending another hour on unneeded code!
So I worked on that all day. I was trying to work as much as I could today. I only got 13 hours in for this week, instead of 20. Thankfully, I am working 7 hours at Staples, so that makes up for it, mostly. I then went home, cleaned up my dishes in the kitchen, and went shopping. I got a ton of food for only $30. I got some things to make sushi with, lots of mac and cheese (as usual), hot pockets, and I was looking at the pizza crust and decided to make an experimental vegetarian pizza, with pesto, garlic, artichoke hearts, and cauliflower and mushrooms. I then came home, made the pizza, which was splendid! Studied chapter 4 in my CS book for an hour, and decided to take a break. So I am just sitting here listening to music

A lot has happened lately, I haven’t even had time to look at this.
I am moved in entirely. My parents and I went and got my stuff from my apartment over the weekend and I have all my stuff in here. It’s still not all unpacked, I might not unpack it. If I haven’t needed something out of the box for two weeks, then I think I am good.
We had our first Technical Fund Committee. I learned some cool stuff, and also, the guy who employs me and the guy who works with me were both on the committee as well. That was neato. Apparently our internet that costs $5 a term is really $20 a term. That comes out of the fee, so essentially, we do pay for it, just if we don’t sign up for wireless, it goes towards someone elses service fee. So that comes out of that. Also I found out we take care of things that are useful to majority of students, like broken laptops, lab computers, lab stuff, etc. So that is very broad, some people are confused, but basically I figure if someone proposes something, we determine if it’s really helpful to majority students or not, and weather to pass it or not.
I have another midterm on Wednesday. I am nervous. It is only over three chapters, but there was a lot of information. I stayed up until 3:00 am yesterday studying it.
Work is so-so. I got my first project done way fast, my second one is taking a bit longer, because I can’t figure out how to use an array in PL/SQL (Arrays are usually tables, and I don’t get how to pass multiple values of the same thing from one varchar2 datatype into a table.) so I found a way around that. I’ll ask Michael later. I have had a bad past two days. I keep accidentally making infinite loops. Now I have to take that string, and every time there is a space, take that word and compare it to see if it is already there or not to update. I couldn’t figure out how to do that, so I tried to make my own procedure to do that, broke it all. I was bummed. This was the fourth time.
Other than that, not much else. Getting excited over Holland. I hope I do good in my CS class this term though, or else I’ll be nervous the entire time I am there xD I am also a tiny bit bummedc over next term. I have to take 3 art classes because this is the only term they are offered. Art isn’t even my major, so its like wtf? Lol. Whatever xP

This weekend has been moderately good, and I am so glad I am comming out of my anti-social, anti-school, depression phase that went on the past few weeks.
I stayed at home and decorated my new place I did not like it so much at first, probably because it was new place, lots of scary bugs, only half of my stuff was over here, but I am starting to like it more now. I got all of my useful things over here and decorated the walls. I lit some candles and it is starting to smell like my old place again instead of new paint. I also spent time playing Mario3 (Lol. Mom spent $600 on all of this Wii stuff and we play Mario3 on it) and doing my art and CS homework.
School has been a different story. I had to drop one of my CS classes. I was mega-bummed at first, but I am getting over it. I will have to take it again later. Maybe I can find it this summer or something. I had like two D’s and some B’s so far, so I need to focus more. I am excited though I get to take my first pre-graphic design class Winter term Also the Student Technical Fund Committee that I am a part of made their first meeting this Friday at 9:00am. It was supposed to be in the third week of school, and when I did not get an email, I was worried maybe they kicked me off xP Also my database job so far seems to be going okay. I finished the training. Michael made me a little nervous, but I’ll tackle the first project tomorrow. It is the best I can do.
Other than that, unfortunate news. My PC for some reason is only recognizing one of the cores on my dual-core processor. It could be a motherboard issue, but then I looked up my motherboard and got the very specific details on my processor and it was under the list of like 100 AMD processors that the motherboard will recognise. I tried to reset the BIOS, but I have no idea where the jumper things are. I personally think it is an OS issue. When the motherboard fried, we took out all of the parts, maybe something got screwed up. Lastly, hopefully the processor did not just fry and die out. I will miss it n___n I will miss playing UT and I can’t afford a new one just yet.
In the process of fixing it, I got sidetracked and decided to boot up the Linux partition where the internet did not work on. The wireless works fine, just not the Ethernet. So I fixed it all up and updated some times Installed a purdy new Appearance Theme and also got a neato background. Also the sound is real weird too. It works on the speakers but not the headphones. Sounds like some sort of PCI issue or something to that extent.

That is all Jya~

Pesto and Coffee!!

Hopefully this will be a quick post I want to go play Mario three
Yeah. I am eating fettuccine with Pesto and coffee with hazelnut. Is yum
This week has had massive up’s and downs, but so far the end is turning out great.
I was sleeping very little at the beginning, like four or five hours a night, I was stressed over school, and got a 19/42 on my homework (I had expected that when I picked it up a few days before, but sheesh it was still a real downer) so I was about ready to drop the class when the teacher said to wait three more weeks. There will be a midterm by then, I will have practiced the math more, and maybe it will improve. He says a lot of times in CS there are things you don’t understand, but if you relax and go on and think about it periodically, you suddenly get it. And he always talks about the student from Peru, and how she could not do CS at all, but she would try her best and come in with her homework going “Okay. I did this and this and this and this but I could not do this. I got stuck here” so he saw that she tried and helped her and she ended up getting a really good job because she could understand it so much better than the other people who did not ask for help
That was Monday.
Tuesday was excellent. I got the electric turned on at the other house, and the water guy came bye while we were away to turn the water on. We wanted him to call us but I guess he forgot. He said he turned it on and heard something running inside, so he shut it off. I went inside and the bathroom was completely flooded. He turned it back on and it was coming from underneath the sink, so we looked, and there were s u g a r a n t s ! ! ! swimming everywhere in it!!! It was so gross. They apparently made themselves a little home and backed it up and the pipe broke and blah!!
So my dad went out to get the stuff to fix that and I went to art. Art was hard this week because I basically have been going to school 8 - 5, work inbetween, then more work from 6 - 9 when I get off, come home at 10, and I still have art and CS homework to do. And when I say art, I mean it is going to be at least a good two hours painting or drawing. So that really sucked, but I got it all done. Then I went to work and apparently he found another pipe behind the wall that was broken too. So this is going to cost $80 or something altogether.
Thankfully I have that better job now, so I am not super worried anymore over finances. I love it so far. I get to use a dual monitor which is so awesome. It is kind of hard to get used to because I drag my mouse and I am used to it being at the end of the screen by the time I finish, but it’s only half way done. I love being able to browse the web and look at code at the same time though
Today was good too. I was surprised. I was going to quit Staples, but they were so nice about it. They said they would rather not have me quit, what can we do to help you out? So I am only working three hours tomorrow, I can study for school and this other job and still have some time off. Then I will work my five hours on Monday and he’ll talk to the GM about keeping me or not since I have this other job. So yay I am so happy most people in my experience don’t work with you. You say you don’t want to come in, Adios!!
Okay. Surprisingly, that only took seven minutes to type. I am off to play Mario Buhbyes!!

So my parents told me to find a job in town.
I asked my professor if he knew of any jobs, but he didn’t. So he mentioned it to Porcia who is the secretary for the CS department. She knew a guy named Michael who had database stuff he needed done. I went and talked to him and he showed me some of the code and an example and asked me to set up PHP and MySQL on my laptop and show him what I can do.
I had PHP installed already and Apache, so I just updated it and got MySQL installed. I used command line to get some databases and tables set up, and made some simple scripts (add database, delete database, drop table, add table, etc.) and showed him it. Even though it was incomplete, he said it was good enough and that is what I would be doing except it will be in Oracle.
So it starts off $8.50 an hour and goes up depending on skill if I am hired on as a perm. So it’s worth a shot plus it is exactly what I’ll be doing in industry, so yay.
Sorry for ignoring everyone so much! This was my weekend:

Today: Get up at 8:00am, ready to pass out, shower, get some coffee, go to CS271, go to CS160, go back home to get my laptop, go to the library to print out my resume and my schedule, go to see Michael, get the job, come back, hang out with Amber for ten minutes, go get help for CS271, go get lunch, study for Art115, go to class, take a test, ipod dies, draw the rest of the time, go to tutoring (find out there is no CS tutor available), go to my parents house, get help from dad eat dinner, clean my car, and come back home and here I am!!
